3-Legged Dog Waited In A ShoeBox For Months To Be Rescued Until One Day
Hope for Paws is a non-profit animal rescue organization based out of Las Angeles, California. They rescue dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters. Then foster the animals in our home, cage free, until we can find them permanent, loving families.
Hope for Paws received a text message about a dog that needed to be rescued so they headed out to see what they could do. This lonely dog had spent weeks, even months living in a box on the porch of a stranger's house. The homeowners were feeding him but were unable to give him a permanent home.
After weeks of seeing this dog sit on the porch, a passerby asked the owner of the home if the three-legged dog belonged to him and that's when Hope for Paws was contacted. When they arrived on the seen the small dog just sat and inquisitively watched as rescuers slipped a leash around her neck.
The Chihuahua mix was given the name "Princess" Ruby as they wrapped her up in a blanket and took her away to be checked out. After examination, the team discovered Princess was severely anemic and she needed to be hospitalized for weeks after her rescue to help her recover from the months of homelessness.
Princess received the proper treatment she needed and is now a happy and healthy dog! Princess is still available for adoption from Smooch Pooch Rescue. A quiet family located in Southern California would be the best fit for this sweet dog.
If you think you could be the right family for her contact the rescue center for more information. We are so glad that Hope for paw stepped in and rescued her. They gave her a new shot at life!!
