Sandra Bullock Is Financially Aiding The Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort In A Big Way

It seems as though, when great disasters hit, people of all walks of life are brought together in a beautiful way. With the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, many families have been rendered completely helpless. Most have lost their homes, cars, and all their earthly possessions, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The stories across the web are too numerous to count; it’s impossible to go on any website without some story referencing the destruction caused by this horrific natural disaster.

This flooding has become so great that many celebrities are stepping forward to aid the cause. Sandra Bullock is one of the celebrities helping in a large, financial way. She has lived in Austin, Texas, for many years, so this tragedy, literally, hits especially close to home for her. In an effort to help those in need, she recently donated one million dollars to the American Red Cross.

In the video below, she explains that she’s grateful she is able to do this. She goes on to say that we have to take care of each other. Along with Sandra, other Hollywood stars have joined in to aid with the relief effort. Though the recovery will be a long, tiresome road, with the financial and physical help of the country, the areas affected will all be restored, once more.
