Say hello to Tucker, THE BAT DOG. Tucker, the rescue dog, is a 4-year-old little Miniature Pinscher, Chihuahua, Miniature Poodle mix with MPS VI. It's a condition that causes deformities and other medical issues. Because of these deformities, he looks more like a bat than a dog. But not only that, he has a difficult time walking on his front paws due to the fact that they turn inward causing them to buckle at the elbows. Despite all the difficulties, he is a determined little guy.
Tucker may look a little different but he doesn't let it stop him from getting the best out of life. This happy, loving and fun dog lives a really good life with his owner and best friend, Brittany in Los Angeles, California.
He can't walk on his front paws, but that has never stopped him from going anywhere he wants to. He may have special needs but he is proving to himself and everyone that nothing can stop him. He is one determined little guy.
Though it looks like it, Tucker isn't blind but he does have cloudiness in his eyes and it's safe to say he probably doesn't have 20/20 vision. Tucker often has to wear goggles to protect his eyes. I can relate to Tucker, when I was a kid I had was cross-eyed so I have to wear these special classes. Look at him rockin' his goggles aka special glasses.
Tucker also likes spending time with people and animals with the same health condition that he has. When he arrives on the scene, he has the special ability to always boost the energy of those around him and showing how to live life to the fullest despite the physical limitations.
On his website it says his goal is to not only raise awareness for his disease and all dogs living with special needs but to also bring happiness to people's lives every single day. And we think he is doing just that!
